History
A brief history of our company in existence for more than 70 years
- 1937 - The company is founded by Roger Bijl.
- 1964 - Irène and Fredy Vanderhaegen enter into partnership with Roger Bijl. The company is situated on rue Saint Eleuthère in the centre of Tournai.
- 1971 - The name of the company is simplified with the takeover. Irène et Fredy Vanderhaegen found SPRL Transports Byl.
- 1974 - The company sets up in the Tournai Ouest industrial park.
- 1983 - The company continues to expand. Following division, SPRL Transports Byl becomes Transports Byl SA (transport of goods) and Stogema SA (storage of goods).
- 1987 - Françoise and Carine join their father, Fredy.
- 1995-1999 - Acquisition and construction of more than 10,000m² of storage space.
These companies are now based in the Tournai Ouest industrial park in a modern infrastructure covering 18,000 m² in several sites.
Continuity and those principles dear to the company (service quality and customer respect) live on.
More than 70 years providing transport service..and many more years on the horizon offering a continually improving service in tune with our customers' needs.
